Research activity is the backbone of the School’s world-class academic excellence. Research centers are an integral part of EMC2, furthering scholarship and advancement in specialized areas of business. Created with industry partners and guided by Advisory Board members representing leading corporations, these centers provide students with exceptional access to top executives. These centers also provide students with scholarship opportunities, fellowships, and opportunities to deeply examine current business issues.

The institute is a platform to explore the fundamental issues affecting talent development, education, and human capital around the world. The center works towards development of leadership and unleashing highest human potential.







Cross-enterprise leaders need to be able to look beyond specific functions such as finance, marketing and operations to understand how every part of the business fits into a complex business environment.

The importance of honing one’s Behavioural Skills is growing day by day. The corporate world today has witnessed a marked transition in the last decade from this training being ‘generic’ and ‘good to have’ to now being considered a ‘pre-requisite’ requirement. Our people have a wealth of expertise in areas ranging from innovation to economic impact analysis. We aim to work with industry, government agencies and other organisations to enhance productivity and contribute to sustainable business. We aspire to develop and deliver industry-driven research projects assuring quality outcomes and transfer of knowledge in an effective and appropriate manner; develop collaboration with existing local, national and international partnerships.

Our efforts actively explore opportunities to further align our business practices with societal needs and expectations, helping to drive long-term sustainability and value; seek out and support effective collaborations and partnerships with agencies, institutions and industry; promote academic research and pursue publication in high quality journals. Institute for Fourth Industrial Revolution

This new technological age is characterised and accelerated mass-automation. Intelligent engineering can be described as using a balanced and optimised combination of people, processes and the most appropriate technology, to drive the maximum advantage for a company’s operating model and business. People are at the heart of intelligent engineering in our new industrial revolution – they drive innovation, seek continual improvements and identify efficiency improvements. Processes permit that to happen and technology provides the bedrock. The institute's aim is to facilitate such framework.

Even in the most technical fields today, soft skills are in high demand. In fact, a Harris poll of hiring managers revealed that 77 percent of employers value soft skills as much as hard skills. Burning Glass Technologies recently analyzed over 25 million online job listings. Among IT listings, one in four of the most sought-after skills were soft skills. The following skills are required for any technology person. It is no longer sufficient to be a good coder. Resources need to be a good collaborator and communicator.

The mission of EMC2CAS is to foster excellence in career development, preparation, and professional opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students and alumni by providing comprehensive services and programming and by promoting strong partnerships with employers, academic departments, and the university community.

Career Assessments

Our mentors offer career assessments that can help you identify and organize your interests, values, and skills. A Career Counselor or the Associate Director for Career Development will evaluate which assessments that are appropriate for you.

Employer Sessions and Events

Employers hold information sessions and host workshops. Throughout the year our office sponsors hundreds of workshops and events on various career related topics. Our major workshops offer students the opportunity to network with some of the top companies in their industries, and for those looking to hire EMC2 talent.
